This article explains how to manage case statuses in Equinox.

View case statuses

To view the case statuses currently in your Equinox system:

  1. Go to System > System Customisations > Manage Dropdowns

  2. This takes you to the Manage Dropdowns page. 

  3. There are two options for managing case statuses in the left-hand menu:

    • Case Statuses (Live)

    • Case Statuses (Closed)

You can manage case statuses on both pages in the same way.

Add a new case status

This section covers how to add new case statuses to Equinox.

In this example we want to add a new case status to our 'Case Statuses (Live)' list.

To do this:

  1. Click the Add New button on the top right of the page

  2. This adds another row to the bottom of your Case Statuses list 

  3. Enter the name of the new case status. You can call it whatever you'd like.

  4. Click the Update button

  5. Your new case status is now visible in your list of case statuses

    Note: Case statuses are displayed in alphabetical order.

Edit an existing case status

This section explains how to edit a case status that's already in Equinox.

In this example we want to edit one of our existing case statuses in 'Case Statuses (Closed)'. To edit a case status that's in your system already:

  1. Scroll down to the case status name you want to edit. In this example we want to change the status 'Converted' to 'Changed'


  2. Type the new name into the relevant row

  3. Click the Update button 

  4. Equinox displays a message in the bottom right of the screen saying 'Updated Types'


Delete a case status

To delete a case status from Equinox, click the Delete button to the right of the status you want to delete.

Note: You can't delete a case status that's currently in use. The 'In Use' column must read 'No' for you to see the option to delete a case status.
