Note: You can only bulk update tasks in Equinox when you've included 'Task Name' as one of the columns in your report. If the Task Name column isn't included in the report, the Bulk Update Tasks button won't be visible.
Bulk updating tasks
To bulk update tasks in Equinox:
Go to the Reports menu and select the report that contains the tasks you want to update, or create a new report via the Report Generator
Click the Adjust Tasks in selection button
A pop-up will appear with a list of types of task you can adjust. This screen has the following dropdown menus:
Task users
Task details
Additional task details
Task dates
Choose the task field you want to edit from the relevant dropdown menu
Note: You can customise task field names in Equinox, so some task fields within your system may have different names.
Click Go next to the relevant dropdown menu
You'll be taken to the Bulk Update Tasks page. Select all the tasks you want to update.
For this example we'll update the status of the 'Send Correspondence - 1st Smart Template' tasks from 'Live' to 'Done'.
Note: When bulk updating the task statuses, you'll see the following warning on the screen:
Warning, components or actions linked to the task being marked as done in the usual way won't be triggered - this bulk update will only update the status.
7. Select the status you want to update the tasks to (in this case 'Done') from the dropdown menu
8. Click Update
9. This will immediately update the tasks
Note: It's not possible to automatically reverse a bulk update, but you can see all of your saved case results in the .
Bulk updating tasks while bulk updating cases
You can also bulk update tasks when you're bulk updating a case.
On the Bulk Update screen that appears when you're bulk updating cases, there's an option to tick a box if you want to: 'Also change responsibility of tasks belonging to previous user to new user.'
To update tasks while updating a case user:
Tick this box
Click the green update button
