This article outlines the option available to display a diagram of cases within the same family on the Family tab of a case.
When this option is enabled, a tree diagram is displayed at the bottom of the Family tab making it simple and easy to see how the cases are related to each other.
The diagram is colour coded as below:
The example below shows:
- A GB Patent First Filling case
- A PCT Application has then been filed with WIPO
- The PCT has been nationalised in Australia and with the EPO
- EP validation cases have been filed in Germany, France and Ireland
The diagram displays the following case dates, if they are recorded:
- Priority
- Filing
- Nat/Reg Entry
- Grant/Reg
It is possible to click 'Export' in the top left of the diagram to download a .PNG image of the diagram.
Note: This diagram does not include extended case family members.
