Address Book | Client | This is the contact that you bill for the work completed for your cases.
Also referred to as: - Owner - Division |
Associate | These are other IP attorneys/firms that you work with.
Also referred to as: - Agent | |
Case | Case | Also referred to as: - Matter - File |
Family | This is a group of related cases, often including an international application and the national/regional cases.
Also referred to as: - Associated Cases | |
History Date | The dates that indicate when certain actions are completed for the case e.g. Filing date, Priority date, Publication date etc. | |
Case Code | This is the unique reference you use to identify the case.
All referred to as: - Case Reference - Case Number | |
Document | Document | These are files that are uploaded to your cases for reference. |
Tasks & Deadlines | Task | This is an action or deadline related to a case.
Also referred to as: - Deadlines - Actions |
Pre-Set | A shortening of ‘Pre-set Task List’ which is a list of tasks with pre-configured deadlines within your system. | |
Finance & Charges | Charge | A fee or billable work that has been completed for a case. |
Invoice Preview | This is a draft invoice. | |
Charge Sheet Item | These are pre-configured charges that are available to add to your cases. |
